More about Brittany Young B.A.
PSY. Children & Adolescent Development
After spending fourteen years providing compassionate care for animals as a veterinary technician, Brittany experienced a transformative moment when her son’s teacher, Esther, told her about the school she was opening - Drake Academy of Excellence. As Brittany shared about her son and his charitable endeavors, Esther recognized their shared vision and they began to talk about how they could join forces and impact the lives of young children. Shortly after, Brittany signed on as co-founder and is excited to help open a school that helps many children to flourish.
Brittany is currently pursuing a positive educator certification from The Center for Positive Education, and brings a unique perspective to her role at the Academy. Positive psychology emphasizes the importance of fostering well-being and human flourishing. Through this lens, Brittany is excited about building a school culture that helps children to flourish by equipping them with the tools they need to navigate academic and life challenges.
